Our Mission & Legacy
The primary objective of the Mujahid Movement is to preserve and propagate the authentic teachings of Islam, relying purely on the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). KNM works to clean the faith of cultural corruptions, innovations (bid'ah), and superstitions while driving community upliftment through modern education, scientific thinking, and social work.
Key Objectives
- Pure Monotheism (Tawheed): Presenting Islam in its unadulterated form, rejecting shrine worship, grave vigils, and talisman writing.
- Women's Empowerment: Pioneering religious and secular education for women, establishing Arabic colleges for girls, and defending their right to worship in mosques.
- Modern & Arabic Education: Replacing traditional, unscientific systems with organized madrasahs, colleges, and university-affiliated institutions.
- Social Welfare & Reforms: Organizing centralized Zakat collection, building dispensaries, managing orphanages, and promoting dowry-free, simple weddings.
- Inter-faith Harmony & Peace: Educating the public that extremism, violence, and sectarian hostility are strictly un-Islamic, and fostering tolerance between all communities.
- Civil Rights Awareness: Educating minorities about their rights under the secular Indian constitution and participating constructively in democratic processes.
A Century of Visible Impact
Today, the fruits of the reformers' century-long struggles are enjoyed by the entire Kerala community:
Malayalam Sermons: Pioneered delivery of Friday sermons in Malayalam so ordinary believers can understand the teachings.
Women in Mosques:Enabled standard women's prayer spaces and entries in mosques across Kerala.
Universal Literacy:Eradicated the backward clergy's ban on reading modern Malayalam and English, resulting in one of the most educated Muslim communities in India.
Scientific Healthcare: Replaced spiritual charms, water-writing cures, and magical spells with modern, professional hospitals and clinics.
Systematic Madrasa Education: Established a structured Islamic madrasa system with standardized curricula, graded classes, and organized textbooks to ensure quality religious education.
Educational Institutions:Built a comprehensive network of institutions—including Arabic colleges, medical colleges, and arts & science colleges—to promote higher education and community advancement.
